Katy Perry has been known for experimenting with her hair. She's dyed her hair practically every color of the rainbow and this time the popular star has gone in for a fiery orange look.

She's looked stunning as she posed for the cover of L'Officiel Paris' September Issue cover. She wore a peach dress with black flower prints on it and the locks matched perfectly with the outfit as well as Perry's attitude.

On personal front also there were some changes. Earlier last week, it was reported that Perry and John Mayer who were reported to have been casually dating called it quits on this casual fling. The internet has been swirling with curious questions on whether pop stars Perry and Mayer were dating as pictures of the two on a dinner date went viral on the web. They were first seen grabbing pizza together last month and also spotted enjoying a party together at Soho House on July 19, where the "I Kissed A Girl" singer was apparently "all over" her long-haired beau.

US Weekly magazine reported at the time that the couple was "affectionate, holding hands and cuddling." It's not the first time the couple have been romantically linked, as they were first said to be dating back in 2009 when Perry apparently 'made it her mission' to get closer to the Gravity singer.

However, sources have now confirmed to Us Weekly that the two have split. "She's really upset about it," one insider said.

"She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt," another insider said.

"I don't think either of them is trying for anything serious right now. She's not talking like he's 'The One,'" a friend told the mag a few weeks ago. "She's comfortable around guys who understand the craziness of that world, which he definitely does."
