Britney Spears pulls a Kim Kardashian and tries to pass off old bikini photos as new ones. Are these ladies living in the past?

Kim Kardashian's retro bikini photo is pretty retro, its from 2009 not 2012.

The 30-year-old pop icon uploaded a Facebook photo of herself wearing a white bandeau bikini top with the caption "Y'all ready for summer to end? I'm definitely not!" The tanned beauty with a full head of blonde hair looked much more youthful than in her previously posted bikini picture in which she posed with her two sons. It wasn't the sun that made Spears looks so radiant; it was the fact that it was an old picture. According to Us Weekly, the photo was taken in 2008. Fans began to suspect the photo was old when Spears didn't reveal the time or place of the image. Turns out the photo was used in an Ok! Magazine cover. Kardashian did the same thing, posting a 2009 tabloid bikini shoot photo and passing it off as a recent picture from her Hawaii getaway with her beau Kanye West.

There's really no reason for the blonde bombshell to resort to old Britney photos when the new Britney is just as hot. For the past several years, the mother of two has struggled with her weight in the public eye. However, Spears has regained her fame and respect with new music and a new body. She now flaunts her toned curves on the red carpet and on her latest gig as a judge on "The X-Factor" which airs September 12.

Spears didn't only upload the vintage bikini photo, she's also been uploading memorabilia from her glory days as the bubble gum pop princess that the world knew and loved. For the Fourth of July, she posted a photo circa - new millennium of herself wearing a patriotic halter top and (of course) leather bootcut pants. She also uploaded a picture of her famous "Oops!... I Did It Again" red catsuit in honor of NASA's Curiosity Mars Rover. Furthermore, for no apparent reason, Spears uploaded a still from her old video "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know" with the caption " Don't hold back. Just let it go..."

Seems like Spears isn't really "letting it go." Nevertheless, who doesn't love the old Britney? In honor of the pop princess, watch one of her greatest hits!
