Lana Del Rey is the new face and voice of H&M this fall. The retailer released new images from the ad campaign featuring the indie crooner in quirky and retro threads.
Del Rey stars in the print ads shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and a short commercial/music video in which she'll sing a cover of "Blue Velvet" shot by Johan Renck. The music video will debut September 19 on hm.com while shortened versions will air on TV as commercials.

The 26-year-old singer, known for her retro hipster style, fully enhances H&M's funky new collection. Last month, the retailer released two ads of the starlet modeling a soft peach ensemble. The rest of the ad offers more color and variety. Del Rey dons colorful splatter paint leggings, chunky knit sweaters, shift dresses, and interesting jewelry. "The mood is very L.A. noir," Donald Schneider, H&M's creative director, told Women's Wear Daily.

Del Rey is highly regarded for her vintage inspired fashion looks. However, what really captivated her fans was her sultry haunting voice. Her monotonous voice creeps into the soul as she sings her breakout hit "Video Games." The pouty singer intertwines fashion and music in her latest video for "National Anthem" where she channeled the style sense of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie O.

H&M makes a great move combining Del Rey's musical talents and original style for the ad campaign. Hopefully she'll do a sweet Christmas jingle for the winter campaign which release in October.
