Universal Pictures confirms that rumors making the rounds about Kristen Stewart being from the cast of Snow White and The Huntsman trilogy are false.

Recently owing to the scandalous incident of Kristen Stewart cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders, rumors of the actress being dropped from the cast of Snow White and The Huntsman trilogy have been making the rounds. However, chairman on Universal Pictures Donna Langley has confirmed in an official statement that all such rumors are false and the 22 year old actress is still a part of the franchise.

"We are extremely proud of Snow White and the Huntsman and we're currently exploring all options to continue the franchise," said Langley in the statement. "Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false."

Earlier this week, The Hollywood Reporter published a piece that said that the actress will not be invited back to star in the sequel. In the wake of the messy scandal, "the studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise," according to a Universal spokeswoman. The film is reportedly switching focus to Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character, and will begin shooting in July 2013 once the actor's schedule is open.

Stewart's career may not be ruined for good but she did hurt her image. After her salacious affair, the actress dropped out of Nick Cassavetes film "Cali", while her forlorn ex Pattinson snagged a new gig starring opposite Naomi Watts in Werner Herzog's literary biopic "Queen of the Desert."

Earlier this week, it was also reported that Kristen was expected to resurface from her hiding and make a public appearance in the near future. She will head to Canada next month to promote her new film "On the Road" at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.

The festival announced Tuesday, August 14 that the film based on Jack Kerouac's novel would throw a special presentation during the fest. As fans started speculating on whether Stewart would attend the red carpet event or not, an insider claimed to E! News, "Kristen will be there."
