Kristen Stewart notoriously cheated on her long time beau Robert Pattinson but she may have just cheated herself out of a booming career.
The 22-year-old starlet is catching heat for having a scandalous affair with her married director Rupert Sanders. Both Sanders and Stewart were set to work on the sequel of their hit movie, "Snow White and the Huntsman". However the 41-year-old director is allegedly being pressured from his heartbroken wife, Liberty Ross, to drop the film and to never see Stewart again. Previously, reports confirmed that the "Twilight" star would still remain as the leading lady, but now Stewart's future as Snow White is uncertain.
The Hollywood Reporter ran an article on Tuesday that claimed that the actress will not be invited back to star in the sequel. In the wake of the messy scandal, "the studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise," according to a Universal spokeswoman. The film is reportedly switching focus to Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character, and will begin shooting in July 2013 once the actor's schedule is open. The Los Angeles Times then reported that Stewart may still have a role in the Huntsman film.
It's far too early to really put bids on the exact outcome of this situation. Like many Hollywood breakups and scandals, it's juicy for the first few weeks but completely forgotten about in the next two months. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are hardly making headlines these days after their very high-profile (and unbelievably quick) divorce. Another scandal is sure to steal the spotlight from the "Robstengate."
Stewart's career may not be ruined for good but she did hurt her image. After her salacious affair, the actress dropped out of Nick Cassavetes film "Cali", while her forlorn ex Pattinson snagged a new gig starring opposite Naomi Watts in Werner Herzog's literary biopic "Queen of the Desert."
If Stewart does get the axe from the "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel, which other actress could take her role? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Given the risks that “Elementary” has been taking with the Sherlock Holmes mythology, converting not one but two main characters from men into women, it seems surprising that they chose to keep Sherlock British.
