Miley Cyrus' ever-changing hair style has reached its culmination. Just a week after she turned her hair platinum, the 19-year-old starlet debuted a pixie cut, with a partially shaved side.
The new extreme hair style came after Miley Cyrus announced to the Twittersphere a week ago that she was "ready for a change."
The "change" arrived as Cyrus tweeted Sunday afternoon, "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)"
Miley Cyrus' stylist Chris McMillan then took up scissors, and it was too late -
"Good bye bun. Stay tuned. @ NYC!" McMillan tweeted with link to a Instagram photo of him about to chop off Miley Cyrus' trademark bun.
Cyrus too took to Twitter the very moment of farewell to her bun.
The engaged star then went for a spree of photos of her new look, as if to make a statement that she isn't regretting the choice at all.
"Never felt more me in my whole life," Cyrus tweeted with a photo of herself with a satisfied smile at her new hair.
"my dad @billyraycyrus used to tell me "opinions are are like ass holes every body has one" LOVE my hair ❤ feel so happy, pretty, and free,"
says Cyrus, who seems to be absolutely happy about her new hairdo, despite fans' protests.
The newly gained freedom seems to take Miley Cyrus' confidence to the next level.
"feeling so happy in my skin."
Miley Cyrus' new platinum hair inevitably received mixed reviews, but most fans expressed their surprise at her extreme choice.
And there are some supporters, at least.
“someone just told me im prettier than Miley Cyrus,” the "Hannah Montana" star said after debuting her new cut.
The sudden explosion in Miley Cyrus' hair evolution didn't come out of blue.
“One day I’m going to cut my hair like [Twiggy], I know I am,” Cyrus told ABC in a 2008 interview.
“I will one day.”
That one day has come and gone. What do you think? Is the new platinum pixie really in Miley Cyrus' skin?

Given the risks that “Elementary” has been taking with the Sherlock Holmes mythology, converting not one but two main characters from men into women, it seems surprising that they chose to keep Sherlock British.
