Imagine if you could open your own shop within minutes. Impossible? Not anymore. Wisemarkit is one of the latest innovations in the ecommerce industry. Users can open a virtual shop, name it, design its construction and interior, and house the items they would like to sell.
The "boutiques" are placed in a virtual neighborhood, making the site also a social networking platform. As like most social sites, Wisemarkit accounts can be followed by fellow users. Think of Pinterest meets E-Bay meets your local mall.

Ecommerce sites have become more and more popular over the years; people can now shop from multiple stores at once with just a click of the mouse. Wisemarkit takes it a step further and gives shopaholics the pleasure of window-shopping - something you won't get at an average shopping site. Users can scroll the page horizontally to take virtual stroll around a cutely drawn out shopping village.
The New York City based site, created by Farris Salah and Oliver Ripley, launched this week and is slowly building up its membership by inviting a few members at a time. Upon visiting the site, you will be prompted to sign up for an invitation. Even before becoming a member, Wisemarkit permits visitors to check out the existing boutiques made by the staff members.
