Gangnam Style has become a global internet sensation, and has even garnered parodies in the U.S.
Korean musician Psy’s “Gangnam Style” video has gone viral on the internel over the past month, and its fame is snowballing.
Since its release on July 15, Gangnam Style’s video has collected over 17 million views to date.
Don’t take Psy as a typical K-Pop idol group, for he is just a completely different… breed. You will see it for yourself by watching the video below.

Though K-Pop artists generally possess beauty, style and human dignity, Psy’s "Grade B" humor has been widely accepted globally.
Especially in the U.S., many fans find it entertaining, and Gangnam Style has almost become a sort of addiction.
"The response in the U.S. is unbelievable. I have to admit, I must have watched it about 15 times," said CNN reporter Shanon Cook.
The overwhelming reaction to Gangnam Style comes as a surprise to the K-Pop sphere, as well as Psy, also known as Park Jae-sang.
"I was trying to go with the current trend in the music industry. I wanted to make people laugh more. I thought, right now, people want to laugh more. I prepared this hoping to portray the most pathetic of pathetic with this music video," he said.
In the video, Psy plays a pathetic man daydreaming about his ideal girlfriend, who knows how to present herself properly in the day, and also how to have fun at night. The funky horse riding dance is seen in all kinds of venues you can imagine in everyday life – from playground to subway, from the top of the skyscraper to a boat on a river.
Gangnam Style’s music video also drew attention for featuring K-Pop singer HyunA of 4 Minute rocking the horse riding dance. Yoo Jae Suk, a renowned Korean MC as well as famous comedian Noh Hong Chul are featured in the video.

A translation to the song has been provided by an editor of The Los Angeles Times:
"A lady who is warm like daylight, who knows how to enjoy a cup of coffee with ease, whose heart gets hotter as night gets near, a lady who has unexpected character.
I am a man who gets hot in the daytime like you! I am a man who can have one shot of coffee before cooling it down, a man with a heart that explodes at night, I am that kind of man. I am (big brother), Oppa Gangnam Style!!!
A lady who looks conservative, but knows when to play hard, a lady who knows when to let her hair down, a lady who seems fragile, but sexy at the same time.
I am a man's man, I may be conservative, yet I know when to have fun and play hard. A man who can go crazy when the time is right, a man who is bulging with social life instead of bulging with muscles. I am the man.
You are beautiful, lovable, yes, you."
And the story goes on.
The creepy thing about these internet sensations is that whatever attached to the trend also goes viral.
Gangnam Style’s reaction videos, made by K-POP fans, have also swept across the web, and even The Wall Street Journal has picked up the topic.
In one video made by Katie and Mindy Anderson from Utah, “their near-constant laughter and incredulity at Psy’s horse-riding dance and slow realization that they’re watching a send-up of K-pop conventions,” WSJ says.
And, you guessed it, some parodies to Gangnam Style also came out.
