Eminem beat all the colleagues and other stars in the race to be the first celebrity to have 60 million fans on Facebook and Rihanna is next in line
So you think you know who's the most followed celebrity in the industry? Well! Think again. In an era when Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are the most talked about stars, rapper Eminem becomes the first star to have over 60 million fans on facebook.

This figure is bigger than England's population. With 60.1 million admirers, the rapper has 22 million more likes than Beyonce, 15 million more likes than Justin Bieber and Katy Perry and 7 million more than Lady Gaga, News.com.au reported. Pop star Rihanna is the closest to this number. The 24-year-old is just 620,000 fans away from cracking the same milestone. Eminem has attracted over 195,000 fans in the past week, according to social media tracker site Star Count.
Eminem is also in fourth place on YouTube, with over 2 billion views of his channel, but is some way behind Lady GaGa in Twitter's popularity charts. Lady Gaga claims well over twice as many followers - 27.7 million to Eminem's 11.8.
He first took the mantle of most popular celebrity on Facebook after eclipsing Michael Jackson in February 2011. However, his "Love the Way You Lie" collaborator Rihanna is not far behind, with 59,381,829 "likes."
The gap between the pair has shrunk from over five million to 700,000 in the last couple of years. Eminem recently revealed that Dr Dre will feature on his upcoming eighth studio album. Saying he was still in the early stages of recording and the material has yet to take shape, the iconic rapper acknowledged he will go to his long time collaborator Dr. Dre at some point in the process.
"Yeah, of course he'll be involved," he said. "I usually get going and kind of start going a certain direction and just record what I'm feeling. Then I'll go see Dre and fill in some of those pieces."
