Karlie Kloss has been chosen to be the face of the new campaign Target is putting together for its latest CDFA collaboration. She will also been seen on the cover of British Vogue's all important September issue.

t's been busy times for Karlie Kloss of late. First she opened the Christian Dior couture show and now she's been named the Face of Target's New CDFA Collaboration Campaign.

Target is collaborating with Neiman Marcus and 24 CFDA brands on a new winter line and for its face; they are going with the 19-year-old supermodel. It's a tad surprising for both the retailer and the model. Target has collaborated with Jason Wu and Missoni, but those campaigns lacked an official spokesperson.

And the job description entails more than just appearing in a few ads. When the line is launched, Kloss will be everywhere. "The campaign is designed to drive excitement, fuel buzz and curiosity around the December 1 launch," a Target spokesperson told WWD. "It's very comprehensive and robust and will include all mediums with unique elements specially designed for online, print, out of home, TV, and social media."

According to sources on the set, Kloss was in a baking mode, making cookies for everyone the first day and two key lime pies on the last - her mom made one - using grandma Kloss' famous recipe. Kloss, for the campaign, was required to do a lot of movement. "Her background and familiarity with movement and dance are perfect," a source said.

Not just this, the teen model has also bagged another big project, adding more substance to her already rich fashion profile. Kloss will now feature as British Vogue's cover girl for the all-important September issue this year.

Being one of the most hotly anticipated magazine covers of the year, the fashion bible of Brits claims that the big September issue will be its "biggest fashion issue ever."

For the cover, the model was shot by photographer Nick Knight, and is sporting a vibrant 70s inspired look on the front cover in a busy patterned violet shirt and gold patterned disco pants. She wears a clashing orange waist belt to cinch in her already tiny waist, and sports a voluminous blow-dried hair style and Hollywood glam makeup of black lined eyes and blood red lips with contoured cheekbones.
