Robert Pattinson wants to go past Kristen Stewart straight to her cheating partner Rupert Sanders to know the truth.

While the heartbroken “Twilight” actor is not ready to talk with his girlfriend of three years, he wants to have a “man to man” talk with the married director, who was photographed in a steamy rendezvous with Stewart.

“Rob wants to have a man-to-man chat with Rupert to find out exactly what happened between him and Kristen,” a source told RadarOnline.

“Kristen has already betrayed his trust by cheating, so he can't be sure that she will tell him exactly what went on between her and Rupert. Rupert has a wife and a family to save, so Rob feels like he has nothing left to lose and would be honest with him,” the source added.

Robert Pattinson is feeling doubly betrayed by his girlfriend and her director in whom he placed deep trust.

“Rob really was blindsided by this and he's going through the typical stages of being cheated on,” according to the inside source.

“He was hurt and heartbroken, then angry and p****d off, and now he just wants answers. He feels like he needs to know exactly what happened, how far it went and how many times, so he can figure out if this is something he can move past.”

Kristen Stewart may be one of the hottest starlets in Hollywood, but this time around, she’d better learn important life lessons and consider to sport some modesty.

In the wake of the cheating scandal that became public Tuesday, Stewart released a heartfelt apology the next day.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart stated.

Betrayed Pattinson, however, is “questioning Kristen’s apology,” Radar’s source claimed.

“Rob just doesn't know who or what to believe right now .And he'll do whatever it takes to find out the truth,” said the insider.

Though Stewart attempted to explain herself, “he's not ready to talk with Kristen, it's too painful, so he's going to Rupert,” the source told the site.

Another source told UK Mirror, “Rob is devastated and deeply hurt. They spoke on the phone and he said “You’ve completely humiliated me. All the trust has gone."
“He still can’t fathom why she cheated. Kristen is begging for another chance. Robert is undecided.”

If Kristen Stewart had known her man and sincerely considered his loyalty in their relationship, the unrecoverable “momentary indiscretion” may have been avoided.

Perhaps she is too young, or too self-absorbed to care, since Robert Pattinson has made it clear that he does not tolerate cheating.

In the April issue of the magazine, Pattinson was asked if he'd ever have a relationship with a married woman. To this the "Twilight" star replied, "Life is not black and white. There are married couples that never see each other. Is that marriage?

"But there's a thing I've never got: That is, why do people cheat? I can understand the impulse, but not how you can keep two relationships going at the same time for long."

"I'm not the casual-affair kind of guy," Pattinson told the magazine. "If I choose to be with someone, it's because I really want it. When I have a relationship, I'm 100 percent into it."

Will the “man-to-man” conversation with Sanders in any way soothe and heal Pattinson’s shattered heart?

Only time will tell.
