Kristen Stewart,22, released a heartfelt public apology to her fans and boyfriend of three years Robert Pattinson after having an affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders,41.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart said in a statement Wednesday (People reports).

Stewart's affair with Sanders also affects his wife, model and actress Liberty Ross,33, and their two small children. Ross who recently shared how happy she was with her humble brood, was so overwhelmed with pain and embarrassment that she deleted her Twitter account after expressing too much emotion via tweets.

Pattinson, 26, who has made known that he does not tolerate cheating, has just started getting comfortable being publicly affectionate with his girlfriend. It's a wonder though if he's really surprised. The pair got together while Stewart was still romantically involved with actor, Michael Angarano. The star has even confessed to E! News that she's completely uninhibited. "I do whatever I want," Stewart told E! when asked if there's anything she would do if she knew she was not going to be photographed. "You can't be ashamed of what you're doing if you're doing it honestly, and I am."
