Another season of "The Bachelorette" comes under wraps with Emily Maynard choosing Jef Holms over Arie Luyendyk. Holms proposed to Maynard with a $68,000 engagement ring.
Who would Emily Maynard choose on "The Bachelorette" was a question on every viewer's mind. However, a million racing hearts were put to rest as the single mom chose Jef Holms over Arie Luyendyk in the season finale Sunday evening.
"I don't know what to do, I don't know what to say, but you know how I feel about you," Maynard tells Luyendyk shortly after she meets him for their final date. "From our very first date and beyond that, it felt like it was going to be me and you and I don't know anymore... I'm sorry."
Luyendyk walked away, adding a "Good luck," and gives her a final hug goodbye.
A teary Maynard smiled through her tears thinking about her future with Holms, who later arrived to learn his fate with the girl he loved. Holms walked up to Emily and she said, "It's been a long road, but one I can look back on every single moment, even the lowest and know it was all worth it because I can stand here and tell you you're everything I've looked for, for so long. You're my soulmate ... I love you so so much." They kiss and Holms soon said, "I feel like the luckiest man in the world. I think it's so rare people find the person they're meant to be with and ... I'm so grateful we did."
A source tells Us Weekly that Maynard's bauble designed by Neil Lane boasts a 2.5-carat center square-cut diamond that's set on a pave diamond band, bringing the total weight of the ring to approximately 3.5 carats. The cost of the piece of jewelry is said to be a whopping $68,000. The dress Maynard wore to accept Holms' proposal was a Jean Fares Couture chiffon gown with an embellished bodice.
