Elle magazine is not the only publication banking on Katie Holmes' divorce; little known magazine C Magazine (underlined with title," California Style") is the latest to interview and feature the actress.

It's hard to determine when an actress, as discreet as Holmes, will file for divorce so this timing is surprisingly perfect for the magazines. Holmes unveiled the sex appeal she's been concealing for so long on the covers of both Elle and C Magazine.

In her latest cover, she wears a short fitted black dress she enticingly inches up her thigh.

C Magazine shot Holmes for the September issue just a week before she filed for divorce and they interviewed her the day before she publicly broke the news.  Senior editor Kelsey McKinnon, who interviewed Holmes, recalls the talk and now notices that divorce signs were all there.  

"Going back over the tapes, there were signs: Holmes was certainly very aware of herself, laying a couple cards on the table but never showing her whole hand," McKinnon wrote to WWD.

"Most noticeably, the one name decisively absent from her lexicon: Tom Cruise. She never actually refers to him by name over pages and pages of transcription."

Just like she did in her Elle interview, Holmes remained elusive about her relationship with then-husband. When asked if Suri made her and Tom closer, Holmes responded, "I don't know. I mean...I don't know. People have been having babies a long time."

Holmes' main topic of interest is her career future. She's set to star in a Broadway play, she's prepping for her first Fashion Week presentation for brand Holmes & Yang (which will show at the Bowery Hotel in September), and she just finished filming as a guest judge on Lifetime's hit show "Project Runway: All Stars". Interestingly, Holmes' design partner for Holmes & Yang, Jeanne Yang has been Tom Cruise's stylist for years. It wouldn't be surprising if that relationship ended due to the obvious circumstances.

Both Elle and C Magazine scored big with featuring the A-list divorcee, capturing all of her hints and somewhat grasping her mindset about her relationship. Whichever magazine is first to interview a post-divorce Katie Holmes is sure to get just as much success, if not more so.
