Zooey Deschanel and everyone around her have been overjoyed for the New Girl star’s first ever Emmy nomination.
Deschanel tried to sleep through the Emmy announcements, Deschanel told The Hollywood Reporter.
"I didn't want to assume anything, but I got the phone call and woke up," the 32-year-old actress said.
But a flood of emails, calls and text messages woke her up Thursday morning after Zooey’s first Emmy nomination was announced.
"It's this thing you dream about when you decided to become an actor. It's a huge, incredible life moment," the New Girl star said.
