Beyoncé is known for swinging her full head of blonde voluminous locks as she performs her sassy dance moves to her infectious tunes. Despite her iconic golden tresses, many fans remember the former Destiny's Child lead singer's long sultry braids. It looks like Mrs. Carter went back to her roots; she was spotted at hip-hop star Nas' album release party wearing her old school box-braids in a high ponytail.
Beyoncé's superfans spotted her at the event and immediately began tweeting the viral photos. Though the images are a bit grainy, it is clear to see that the "Love on Top" singer has drastically changed her look.

Beyoncé was joined by her husband and Nas' former rival Jay-Z. The rapper was celebrating the release of his latest album "Life is Good." The party was very low-key but that didn't stop shocked Beyoncé fans from taking sneaky flicks.
Many wonder what sparked Bey's retro hairdo. There are rumors swirling about a possible Destiny's Child reunion; perhaps the star was getting back into that year 2001 spirit. Or she could have been influenced by her Afrocentric sister Solange who dons a natural 'do and braids regularly.
Either way Beyoncé is definitely will restart the trend among her followers.
