Newly single Johnny Depp isn't slowing down anytime soon. The actor, who is still shooting Disney's "The Lone Ranger" with Armie Hammer, is set to star in writer-director Wes Anderson's next project, "The Grand Budapest Hotel".

Wes Anderson is known for his quirky and kooky films that always stars A-list talent like Bill Murray, Meryl Streep, Ben Stiller, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, and more.  Although details on Depp's role are scarce, given the actor's background with quirky and kooky goodness, it is safe to say that this film will be an exciting one.

Depp is said to co-star with some of Anderson's favorite actors including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Angela Landsbury, Jude Law and Adrien Brody.

Anderson will be collaborating with his "Moonrise Kingdom" team.  According to Deadline, "Moonrise Kingdom" is reportedly heading toward a $40 million gross to be among the summer's art house hits, making this Anderson's biggest success since The Royal Tennenbaums in 2001.

This will be Depp and Anderson's first collaboration together.

Depp's "The Lone Ranger" hits theaters July 3, 2013.
