The rumor mill has been swirling of reports about the Gossip Girl turned Gucci Girl and her relationship with French fashion house, Chanel.  Blake Lively has been a Chanel ambassador for a long time but since she's done a campaign as Gucci's it-girl of the season, many believe that her ties to Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel have been severed.

What really added more speculation to the gossip was when Lively skipped out on Chanel's couture show in Paris last month and then announced her gig as a spokeswoman for Gucci's fragrance. The blonde starlet appeared in Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag ads last year and is now featured in Gucci's Premiere fragrance ad campaign - both ads have been noticed for their visual similarities. Soon after, Lively stunned in a Gucci dress to her "Savages" premiere last month.

A source told the Post, "Blake is still an ambassador to Chanel and regularly keeps in touch with designer Karl Lagerfeld. She was invited to the couture show but couldn't make it because she was promoting Savages. She still wears Chanel whenever she can." The actress, who has claimed to not have a stylist, is known for exclusively being a Chanel girl. At the time of her Mademoiselle ad, Lively told reporters "I had other opportunities, and I would say, 'Thank you so much, but I am holding out for Chanel [. . .]That's who I want to be the face of.' And people would say, 'Well, that's unrealistic. They only hire Europeans,' and I said, 'Well, how great. I'll be the first then.'"
