Sylvester Stallone, grief-stricken over son Sage's death, is asking for privacy and respect following the media frenzy over the tragedy.
"When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha," Stallone told TMZ in a statement.
Sage Moonblood Stallone, the eldest son of Sylvester Stallone and his ex-wife Sasha Czack, was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday afternoon.

"This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives," Sylvester continued.
"Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."
The 66-year-old actor asked the media to stop "the speculation and questionable reporting" over the cause of Sage's mysterious death.
No doubt the media frenzy around Sage Stallone's death has deepened Sylvester's grief.
While autopsy and toxicology tests are reportedly being conducted, speculations abound that Sage may have died from a prescription overdose.
Sources told TMZ that "numerous empty pill bottles" were found near Sage's body.
The actor "lived like Howard Hughes," often spending days in his room "littered with junk," the sources alleged. Sage's room was filled with many cigarette butts, beer and soda cans, and food.
However, that is not the life known to those close to him.
Sage Stallone was never spotted taking drugs, according to his attorney and longtime friend George Braunstein.
"Never, no, not from the day I met him," the attorney said.
"I never knew him to drink alcohol. I never saw him take drugs. I never knew of anything like that at all."
"He was very creative, energetic and very full of life," Braunstein said.
"We were just joking about how he was going to get married and have a fun marriage. There was nothing dark or depressing, no problems, certainly no financial problems."
Officials found nothing in the likes of a suicide note or signs of foul play or trauma.
"I think it was probably some sort of accident," Braunstein told the Associated Press.
"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone," Sylvester Stallone’s rep said.
"His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever."
