Sage Stallone would not have committed suicide, his attorney and longtime friend George Braunstein said.
The death of Sage Moonblood Stallone, son of Sylvester Stallone and his ex-wife Sasha Czack, shocked many who knew him.
While reports suggest that Sage may have died from a prescription overdose, the 36-year-old actor would not try to take his life, Braunstein told E! News.
"He was very creative, energetic and very full of life," Braunstein said.
"We were just joking about how he was going to get married and have a fun marriage. There was nothing dark or depressing, no problems, certainly no financial problems."

"I think it was either natural causes or a terrible accident. I don't think it had anything to do with drugs, he wasn't that kind of guy. He wasn't anyone trying to take his life," the attorney asserted.
Sage was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday afternoon, after a few days passed without news from the younger Stallone. Just recently, Sage was at Comic-Con in San Diego promoting The Expendables 2, an action film by Simon West.
Sources told TMZ that "numerous empty pill bottles" were found near Sage's body.
The 36-year old had been dead for at least 3-4 days or as long as a week, according to TMZ sources.
The actor "lived like Howard Hughes," often spending days in his room "littered with junk," the sources alleged. Sage's room was filled with many cigarette butts, beer and soda cans, and food.
However, that is not the life known to those close to him.
Sage Stallone was never spotted taking drugs, according to Braunstein.
"Never, no, not from the day I met him," the attorney said.
"I never knew him to drink alcohol. I never saw him take drugs. I never knew of anything like that at all."
Officials found nothing in the likes of a suicide note or signs of foul play or trauma.
"I think it was probably some sort of accident," Braunstein told the Associated Press.
"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone," Sylvester Stallone’s rep said.
"His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever."
The acting career of Sage Stallone began in 1990's “Rocky V.”
Among nine other movies and short films, Sage co-starred with his father in two films including 1996’s “Daylight.”
Sage recently co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a company which restores exploitation films.
An autopsy on the body o Sage Stallone will be conducted in the next few days.
