It is reported that "Modern Family" actress, Sofia Vergara is engaged to businessman Nick Loeb. The news comes about after a tweeted photo of Vergara sporting a large sparkler on her left ring finger.

The sexy Columbian actress and her fiancé called it quits just two months prior the ring. Some are saying it's an engagement ring while others insist that it's just a gift for her 40^th birthday -- regardless, Loeb gave her the ring. According to PEOPLE, an unnamed Mexico-based rep for the star tells Peopleenespanol.com, "As of today, Sofia is not engaged."

Sources say that Loeb proposed to the actress during her birthday festivities in Mexico this past weekend in front of her close group of friends. Her group of friends includes her co-stars Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Loeb and Vergara first made their love public in 2010 when the actress stayed by her boyfriend's bedside at the hospital after he suffered a serious car accident.

If the two do get married, it will be Vergara's second marriage. She first married her high school sweetheart, Joe Gonzalez, when she was 18.  The brief marriage lasted less than three years. They have a 20-year-old son together.
