Katie Holmes has been spearheading the fastest divorce in Hollywood, and in order to protect her own fashion line, she has even fired Tom Cruise’s daughter from her company, long before the demise of Tomkat's marriage.

Isabella, the 19-year-old adopted daughter of Cruise from his marriage to Nicole Kidman, was abruptly fired from Holmes & Yang – the clothing line collaborated by Katie Holmes and her stylist and design partner Jeanne Yang.

And, as if to foretell the marriage demise, this happened way back, two months ago.

"There was never any trouble between them," a source told The Hollywood Reporter.

"Bella called Katie ‘Mom.’ She was fired out of the blue, and once Katie filed for divorce, it all made sense. This was a carefully planned ambush. Katie didn’t want Bella working for her anymore because she was Tom’s kid."

A sign of the upcoming surprise? If it was, Cruise may have missed the opportunity to mend their relationship.

Holmes’ aggressive and fearless approach to her speedy split from the 50-year-old actor and his beloved Scientology has been claimed as her desperate attempt to separate their 6-year-old daughter Suri from being raised under Scientology.

In less than two weeks after filing for divorce, Holmes and Cruise managed to reach a settlement, and signed an agreement, reported People.

Suri will continue to live with Holmes in New York City, while Cruise is given visitation rights.

The estranged wife of Cruise is planning to bring Holmes & Yang to New York Fashion Week in September, according to WWD.

Now that Holmes is fully free from Cruise, the 33-year-old beauty is ready to regain her crown as a fashion mogul of Hollywood.
And if Holmes is aiming to rise up in the fashion world, the overwhelming media attention can only fuel that flame.
