Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been rumored as a couple on the verge of a breakup, but the teen lovebirds were seen in Japan as Selena accompanied Justin’s live tour.

Jelena arrived at Narita International Airport on Monday. To Justin’s surprise, a huge army of Bieber fans awaited his arrival – and to the fans’ surprise, Justin’s girlfriend came along.

Hundreds of fans greeted Jelena in the airport, screaming and shedding tears as they held banners showing their love for the teenage sensation.
Bieber and Gomez spent Sunday sightseeing Tokyo, exploring Japan’s capital city.

“Excited to be back in Japan to see some of the best fans on earth and my guys at Smap Smap!” Justin Bieber tweeted. “Great day exploring in Tokyo. Ready to go hard tomorrow.”

Though the teen couple’s relationship has been rumored to be on the rocks, the couple was frequently spotted together in California as they went out for romantic dinners and made sure their hands were tightly knit.

According to a People Magazine source, Gomez "was crying about Justin and was upset" when she partied with her pals at Ashley Tisdale’s birthday celebration last week.

The teen idol lovebirds have been trying hard to keep their relationship, but there have been times when it seems to be on the rocks, according to TMZ's sources close to the couple.
In the past week, the teen couple barely managed to keep their union as Gomez decided to give it another shot.

“They’re still together,” a source close to the couple told JustJared.
“They had a pretty big fight but made it through.”

The breakup rumors may have arisen from lots of pressure on Bieber’s side.

"People in Justin’s world think a 'single Justin' is more lucrative,” sources told Perez Hilton.

“With bands out there like One Direction and other heartthrobs, Justin having a girlfriend shows that he's unattainable — which isn't good for ticket sales, album buys and young screaming girl fans. People in Justin's camp are scared that it will ruin or stunt his career in the long run. But Justin and Selena are still in love and they are not breaking up."

Regarding the rumors, the sources allege that the teen couple are very young. “They are kids. Of course there are times they fight. Their schedules are the biggest problem. But he is all about her. They always hit small rough patches but then stay together."

Bieber and Gomez have been dating for about a year and a half.
