Usher's stepson, Kyle Glover, is declared brain dead by doctors after a jet ski accident on Friday.
The 11-year-old son of Usher's estranged wife Tameka Foster "has not experienced any brain activity" since he was brought to hospital after a jet ski struck him in the head.
Glover was airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
His 15-year-old friend was also hit, and suffered a cut on the head and a broken arm.
There has been no decision whether to take him off life support, according to TMZ sources.

The stepson of Usher was riding on an inner tube with his friend on Lake Lanier in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since rescuers took him out of water, Kyle showed no response.
Usher reportedly arrived at the hospital Friday night and has not left his stepson since. He even chartered a plane for Tameka so she could rush to her son. Tameka too has been staying in the hospital, sources told TMZ.
"He's bad," Tameka told Radaronline and left a message on Facebook thanking fans for their support.
"Kyle, You are strong.. You'll be saved I know it. I love you my baby. I need all #Prayers for my son! thanks you everybody!" Tameka wrote.
Twitter was flooded with prayers and words of sympathies for Usher and Tameka.
"My deepest prayers go out to Tameka, Usher and both of their families right now," Diggy Simmons tweeted Sunday night.
"Wishing @TamekaRaymond's son godspeed recovery. horrible news to hear," Roots drummer Questlove said.
"Praying for @TamekaRaymond and her family. Asking to give her and her family strength during this difficult time. Praying for u Kyle," tweeted La La Anthony.
The R&B Singer and Tameka was married in 2007 but split and finalized their divorce in 2009. Kyle is one of two sons of Tameka and Ryan Glover.
Following the tragic accident, the Department of Natural Resource in Atlanta is launching an inquiry to have the accident investigated.
By recreating the incident, they plan to figure out what exactly happened when Usher's stepson was hit.
Alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor, said the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
The man on the jet ski and Usher's stepson were a part of the same group on an outing at the lake, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“Looks like they were just trying to have a good time on the lake and obviously something went wrong,” Sgt. Mike Burgamy of the Department of Natural Resources said.
