Katy Perry, shining in a patriotic dress, performed at the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks aired on NBC Wednesday night.
The nation's largest fireworks on fourth of July illuminated the sky over the Hudson River for 25 minutes, celebrating America's 236th birthday.
Along with country singer Kenny Chesney, Perry performed her hit songs including "Firework," a song literally inspired by fireworks.
"They're glittering and sparkling and that's the kind of person I wanna be," said Perry.
The superstar was dressed in a glittering American flag dress, matched with shimmering eyes shadow.
The "Teenage Dream" singer sang in front of the military personnel at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The show was pre-recorded back in May, according to New York Post.

In fact, Perry was seen biking at the Venice Beach, Calif., earlier on the Independence Day, reports The Huffington Post.
The special edition, “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection” features 3 new songs including "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake."
The singer's new 3D documentary film, “Katy Perry: Part Of Me,” is to hit theaters on July 5th.
