Alexis Mabille's fall 2012 couture collection was full of dramatc yet elegant gowns.  Ruffled collars, bare-midriff evening-wear, and elaborate sleeves were all pleasing to the eye but what really stole the show was the French designer's take on the classic updo. The whimsical hairstyle featured a tightly twisted crescent shaped ponytail with a diamanté brooch hanging from from their tips. Mabille said  he was "imagining women as jewels."
