There seems to be trouble in paradise for one of Hollywood's most elite couples. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are filing for divorce.

PEOPLE magazine cited Holmes' attorney:

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," Holmes Attorney Jonathan Wolfe told the magazine. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

The Rock of Ages star, Cruise, famously jumped on Oprah Winfrey's talk show couch shouting about his love for Holmes back in 2005. After dating for a year, the superstar couple had an extravagant wedding ceremony in Italy in 2006. They have a 6-year-old daughter together named Suri.  

Before being  noted as 1-part of Hollywood's most famous couples, Holmes was famously known for her role on 90's drama, Dawson's Creek. Her relationship with Cruise took her to a high-profile status and a major fashion star. She became a front-row fixture at fashion week and was under everyone's style watch. Designers mused after the married starlet. She was once the face of Miu Miu for their spring 2009 campaign. Holmes also started her own fashion line, Holmes & Yang, which she designed with stylist, Jeanne Yang.
