Katy Perry who arrived in Sydney last evening to promote her documentary Part Of Me, admits to having a split personality when it comes to fashion.

According to Katy Perry, what she wears depends on her mood. And that's exactly what the audience got a glimpse of when the pop star arrived in Sydney. She looked fresh sporting blood red lips and her violet tresses hung loose around her shoulders as she posed with fans. Katy's sleeveless, belted dress and leggings bore the same busy, black-white-and-beige pattern and she paired them with a black leather jacket and matching booties.

Talking about her fashion sense, the singer recently told Female First, "My sense of style is like one of those things that change color with mood, always evolving."

"When I get up, I choose my outfit depending on my state of mind. If it is a 'mixture of many things' it is because I feel many different emotions at the same time, to the point where you feel you almost have a split personality. Basically, in the past, my preferences were always directed towards styles that were daring; the flashier, shinier and imposing the dress the better, this is the reason why I still love the work of Jean Charles de Castelbajac and Jeremy Scott," added the star.

Perry is a big fan of the "Queen of Pop" Madonna and her ability to constantly reinvent herself is what inspires Perry the most. She hopes she can fallow Madonna's footsteps in terms of longevity and her fresh music.

When asked whose success she'd like to emulate, she told L'Uomo Vogue magazine: "I think Madonna - especially early in her career, when she was laying the foundations of her character - has been able to evolve constantly, managing to give the audience at every appearance a new visual interpretation and concept of herself."

The very talented artist is in town to promote her concert documentary, Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D, which technically opens July 5 but Paramount is staging preview screenings in 100 locations on July 2. "The truth will always prevail," Perry told MTV News regarding her choice to include her split from husband Russell Brand in the film.
