Unconventional ramp shows are Scott Sternberg's thing. He practically lives on them. This time, the designer has decided to give his audience a show they will never forget.
Sternberg is now staging the longest fashion show ever titled "The Longest Shoe Ever" where he will show case his entire collection for Band Of Outsiders during a period of 60 hours and a single model only. The show is being staged during the Paris Men's Fashion Week.
The show began yesterday morning and will last through Friday. The model is inhabiting a small compartment built from cardboard boxes and wood planks, adjacent to a window in an anonymous Marais district gallery space. Every 90 minutes during waking hours, he leaves the box to change into a new look from the collection and grabs a new prop to tell the collection's story. So far there's a guitar, a typewriter, and a desk; earlier the brand Tweeted that he was sketching "buildings and people." He will also sleep in the compartment.
The entire event is being broadcast live at the-longest-show-ever.bandofoutsiders.com, and culminates with a cocktail party at its completion on Friday.
