Versace's spring 2013 menswear collection was for the champions. Buff belted warriors made their way down the runway for a macho extravaganza. Donatella Versace used "Pugilist" as her point of reference - defining her pugilist as part Rocky, part Elvis, and Part Mr. T. Versace's definition was on-point and perfectly translated. Models flaunted their muscular physique donning gold embellished belts, gladiator sandals, robes, and majestically embroidered pants.
Of course, the scantily clad warriors served as great eye candy, but they also aided in the relaunch of the label's underwear and swimwear. Among the mesh briefs and shirtless ensembles were impeccably tailored suits (complete with metallic loafers - this is a gladiator theme after all).
