Now that Cara Delevingne, Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss have all made the announcement, it seems that it’s de rigeur for models to insist that they aren’t really models – as if they pose for photos, walk the runway and represent major brands by accident. Part of this may be as an effort for their sideline business to be taken more seriously, though that seems misguided, as would Karlie Kloss’ vegan cookies sell better if they didn’t have Karlie Kloss’ name on them?
Sorry to break it to you, Karlie, Miranda, and Cara – you’re models. Models/designers/entrepreneurs/it girls, if you like, but you’re definitely models.
