Jennifer Lawrence went for a stunning new look at the “X-Men: Days of Future Past” premiere this Saturday, May 10: she left the Dior at home for a ‘90s-esque slinky, velvet, spaghetti-strapped Jason Wu slip gown and wore her her hair down and much, much longer than we last saw it.

JLaw is well into the process of growing our her pixie and we’re almost ready to call it a bob! Instead of slicking her hair back as she did during awards season, she parted her hair to the left in long, chin-length swoop and pinned back the right side of her hair. Paparazzi shots show that with her hair down, she’s even closer to bob length.

Lawrence, 23, previously said that she got a pixie for practical reasons: her long hair was so damaged from being dyed and re-dyed for various roles that she need to start over.

"My hair couldn't get any uglier," she said in November. "I don't know, I cut it earlier, and it was just kind of like [shoulder-length] and it grew to that awkward, gross length. I just kept putting it back in a bun, and I said, 'Well I don't want to do this,' so I just cut it off."

"This isn't how Katniss is going to look in the next movies, don't worry," she added. “I'm wearing a wig."

So far, we have to applaud JLaw for her successful growing-out process! She looks like she’s well on the way to following in the footsteps of Carey Mulligan and Michelle Williams and successfully transitioning her pixie cut to a bob with no (visible) awkward phase.

What do you think of Jennifer Lawrence’s new ‘do? Do you love her almost-bob, or do you wish she’d keep the pixie? Tell us in the comments below!
