Mary-Kate Olsen stepped out at the 2012 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards on Monday night, and something was noticeably different about the 25-year-old fashion designer.

The young designer, who along with twin sister Ashley received the biggest honor of 'Womenswear Designer of the Year' for their fashion line The Row, also debuted newly brown locks.

This isn't the first time Olsen has changed up her hair from her natural blonde color.  She also showed off darker tresses a few years back in 2003.

Many label the prestigious event, which was held at Lincoln Center in New York, as the 'Oscars of fashion.'  The ceremony also marked the 50th anniversary of the award show.
