Fashion designer Carolina Herrera has had a lot to celebrate lately.
Fresh off the heels of marking thirty years in the fashion business, she is now celebrating another major milestone as it was announced recently she has earned $1 billion in annual sales.
The Venezuelan-born designer has been a main fixture in the fashion scene for quite some time now, racking up numerous prestigious awards over the years, including the "Womenswear Designer of the Year" in 2004 and the "Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award" in 2008. She also boasts six Carolina Herrera flagship boutiques around the world.

Herrera, however, probably garnered the most attention and interest in 2011 when she was thrust into the forefront of pop culture as the designer of the character Bella Swan's wedding dress in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1." The fashion designer, in fact, was "Twilight" author Stephenie Mayer's first choice to create the now iconic wedding dress.
