Actress Gwyneth Paltrow Named New Face Of Hugo Boss Perfume

Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, no stranger to fashion and beauty ad campaigns, has been named by Gerd von Podewils, the Global Marketing Director for Hugo Boss Fragrances, the face of the company's newest perfume called Boss Nuit Pour Femme. 

In a press release announcing the new launch, von Podewils explained why Paltrow was the right women for the job.  "Her effortless style, captivating beauty and remarkable achievements make her a true icon of female success."

For her part, Paltrow was equally excited to represent the brand with their new fragrance.  "I was honoured and very happy to be chosen as the face of Boss Nuit Pour Femme," she told WWD.  "To me, the Boss woman is driven, ambitious and goes after what she wants, but she balances being strong and very feminine at the same time - characteristics that I strive toward in my own life."

Inspired by the concept of the elegance of the little black dress, the fragrance will have Paltrow appear in TV, print and online ad campaigns that will launch in August, with the perfume available for purchase in September. 

Discussing her newest venture, she told WWD "I love the idea of basing a fragrance on a little black dress because it's such a resolutely feminine concept but it's so simple at the same time.  I love how perfume can finish off an outfit and make you feel pulled together."

While the 39 year-old actress is a busy lady these days; besides her starring movie roles she is mother of two young children and the owner of her own lifestyle journal GOOP, she always makes time for fashion.   At the recent 2012 Met Gala in New York City, Paltrow stunned in a Prada mini, landing herself on numerous best-dressed lists of the night.   

According to the New York Daily News, Paltrow is already spokeswomen for the Scandinavian chain Lindex and the luxury leather goods and handbag brand Coach, and has previously appeared in Estee Lauder's Pleasures perfume ad campaign.
