Zara Phillips’ newborn daughter Mia Grace’s first baby photos have been revealed in Hello! magazine. The equestrian royal and her husband, rugby player Mike Tindall, sold the pictures to the British weekly and a family photo appears on the cover.

A spokesperson for Hello! said, "We are delighted that Zara and Mike Tindall chose to share their beautiful baby pictures with HELLO!"

Baby Mia Grace was born on January 17th at their local NHS hospital.

Inside the magazine, Zara and Mike reveal that they “never even contemplated” choosing a private hospital, writes the London Evening Standard.

“The Gloucestershire Royal’s maternity unit is brand new and one of the best around,” the couple said.

“We’d never even contemplated going privately. If anything goes wrong, they take you to the Gloucestershire Royal anyway. It was superb and the nurses were outstanding.”

Tindall revealed that the couple had chosen the name Mia from a baby book but “didn’t tell anyone for a few days because we had to know the baby first and see if the name suited her”.

They had decided not to find out the baby’s sex in advance to “keep it a surprise.”

They revealed that they had been helped by a maternity nurse for the first four days to “learn bits and pieces like bathing and feeding and general routine” but are now taking care of Mia without help.

Asked if they had to inform the Queen as soon as the baby was born, Tindall revealed, “As soon as we had Mia I sent a text to all the family. Zara is very close to her grandmother, so of course we made a phone call once we got back home.”

The two sports stars revealed that their baby’s birth was their biggest accomplishment.

“Afterwards you are pretty amazed at what you’ve created. I still keep looking at Mia and thinking, ‘Oh, We made that!” Phillips said.

“Her birth was the best day of my life so far. Winning is a pretty good feeling for a short period of time. The baby is a great feeling and it just goes on,” Tindall added.

Phillips also revealed that she plans to resume her equestria career soon and will “definitely” teach Mia to ride. She added that she’ll be happy even if Mia doesn’t choose a riding career.

“I want her to do whatever she wants. When you have a child all you hope for them is to be healthy and happy,” she said.
