After two years as the cover star of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Kate Upton has lost the top spot to Lily Aldridge, Chrissy Teigen and Nina Agdal, who pose topless together on the 50th Anniversary cover, which is shot from the back.

Upton, 21, will still appear in the issue. The cover promises, “Plus, Kate Upton in space!” which sounds an awful lot like the rumored Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover for which details leaked last month.

In January, reports said that Utpon was seen shooting for Sports Illustrated in unusual conditions: she wore a silver bikini in a zero-gravity space chamber!

Upton’s cleavage and big hair made her “look like something out of [1968 campy sci-fi film] ‘Barbarella,’” sources said.

Sports Illustrated may have taken inspiration from Jimmy Fallon: last year, after Upton’s cover, shot in Antarctica, was released, he joked that her next cover should be spot in space.

“Think about this; there’s no gravity,” he said.

Upton was gracious about losing the cover. She tweeted, “OMG! So happy for @LilyAldridge @chrissyteigen and @NinaAgdal!! What a gorgeous cover!! Loving the booty for vday!”

“@KateUpton @LilyAldridge @NinaAgdal thank you love!! I most enjoy the gentle hand placements,” Chrissy Teigen responded.

The cover models also shared their thoughts on Twitter.

Chrissy Teigen tweeted simply,“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH #SISWIM50.”

Nina Agdal wrote, “i just woke up... This is real!” and added, “@SI_Swimsuit 2014 cover revealed. THIS is everything. I couldnt be any happier. Wow. Thank you @MJ_Day and team SI.”

Lily Aldridge wrote, “Feeling so blessed to be on this iconic @si_swimsuit Sports Illustrated cover with these beauties @ninaagdal @chrissyteigen.”

Teigen, Agdal and Aldridge opened up to People about what it’s like to be on the cover.

“I started crying. But it was a weird shaking, trembling because … I didn’t believe it. Maybe because it’s airing on Kimmel and he likes to prank people. I was like, ‘This is the meanest prank of all time,’” Teigen said.

“I was so excited when I got the call to do Sports Illustrated, and then .. I was shooting in the Cook Islands with these incredible girls. I felt so lucky that I got the best shoot … it was the perfect introduction to Sports Illustrated. And then to get the cover! It’s so crazy and such an honor,” said Aldridge.

“I’m speechless … It was my goal. I couldn’t be happier to be on this year’s cover. Absolutely amazing!” said Agdal.
