TIME Magazine named the world's 100 most influential fashion icons since 1923, creating an extensive list of names divided into six categories - Designers & Brands, Models, Muses, Photographers, Editors & Stylists and Style & Design.
In the designers list, perhaps the biggest surprise was Mary-Kate and Ashley Osten, featured alongside industry giants like Christian Dior, Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein to name a few.

The 25-year-old Olsen twins, who have no formal design education, launched their brand The Row in 2007, and have made a far-reaching impact with their "boho chic" style since then. The twins have transformed into style icons themselves, said TIME.
Models include Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, and Cindy Crawford.
Fashion "muses" include everything between Audrey Hepburn and Lady Gaga. Along with big names in the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson and Princess Diana, first lady Michelle Obama also made her way into the list through her fashion buzz.
Mrs. Obama "is unparalleled in her influence on American fashion, from her arm-baring dresses and colorful cardigans to her mix of high-end and mass-retail designers," according to TIME.
Some media have pointed out the missing names - models like Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson, Christy Turlington, Rachel Zoe and Tyra Banks.
Also some may wonder, if Michelle Obama made it to the list, why not Kate Middleton, whose dresses get sold out after almost every public appearance?
