Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco have joined a group of royals at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Britain’s Princess Anne and King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands are also at the Olympics.

Charlene, 36, is a former Olympic swimmer herself – she competed for South Africa at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 as Charlene Wittstock before she retired from competitive swimming in 2007. She married Prince Albert, 55, in 2011.

Prince Albert also has an Olympic history: as Albert Grimaldi, he participated in bobsleigh in five editions of the Olympic Winter Games between 1988 and 2002, the most by any athlete representing Monaco.

As usual, all eyes were on Charlene’s fashion choices. At the Opening Ceremony on Friday, Charlene dressed in a chic white jacket and warm gray scarf. On Sunday, The Daily Mail writes that she and Albert dressed in identical white Olympics jackets and black sunglasses to cheer on Monaco’s Arnaud Alessandria in the Alpine Skiing Men’s Downhill race on Friday.

Charlene and Albert chatted with Alessandria, who came 39th, after the race, as well as with Norway’s Askel Lund Svidal, who came fourth.

Next, Albert and Charlene returned to Monaco to watch Monaco’s football team take on Paris Saint-Germaine. Charlene wore a camel pea coat and scarf emblazoned with Monaco’s colors but looked tired next to her husband, who jumped out of his seat to cheer on the team. The game resulted in a draw.

The royal couple are ambassadors for Peace and Sport and are regularly seen at sporting events.

Monaco has five participants in this year’s Olympics: Patrice Servelle and Sebastien Gattuso for Bobsleigh and Arnaud Alessandria, Olivier Jenot and Alexandria Coletti for Alpine Skiing. Although Monaco has sent athletes to 27 Olympics, no athlete from Monaco has ever won an Olympic medal.
