Boxing champion Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makdhoom previously announced that they are expecting their first child together. After the couple proudly revealed that they are having a baby girl, the political science student is hinting that she wants a boy?

On Jan. 5, Makhdoom tweeted, “I really hope to have a son like my husband one day. Truly an inspiration with the biggest heart ever. May Allah shower his blessings on you.”

Although Khan’s wife is happy to be having a little girl, it looks like she already thinking about having baby number two, hoping that she gets a boy to be just like her husband someday.

The couple announced the gender of their little one on an Instagram video with the caption, “Proud to announce I’m having a little princess. She’s going to be a fashionista! #MyLittleDesignerBaby shopping for my life.”

The mother to-be posted a video on the social app showing off the cute little clothes she recently bought for her daughter. Makhdoom bought a variety of shirts, sweaters and shoes from popular designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Gucci.

Makhdoom first announced her pregnancy at the end of October, five months after they had gotten married. She first showed off her growing baby bump as she posed with Khan on the red carpet at the BBC Sports personality of the Year Awards. Her tiny belly was showing while wearing an ivory, lacy gown.

“Mommy in the making, thank you everyone for the well wishes,” said Makhdoom. “All your comments/ duwas have made my day.”

The boxing champion also tweeted,” Faryal & I are delighted to announce we’re having a baby - can’t wait! Thanks to our friends and family for all the support.”

Hello Magazine reported that Khan looked very happy as he arrived at the Leeds Arena earlier this month.

“It’s still early days but we’re both very excited and can’t wait to be parents,” said Khan to The Sun on Sunday.

The Bolton-born boxer asked the Political Science student to marry him in January last year and they enjoyed a week-long elaborate Islamic ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City in May 2013.

Khan previously told Hello Magazine that he was looking forward to settling down and starting a family.

“I’ve lived the young life, I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do,” said Khan. “Now is the right time to settle down and start my own family.”

“I’ve got to look after Faryal, so I won’t be going out as much partying with my friends,” continued the boxer. “I don’t want that anymore - I want to do the family thing. I think I’ll change as a person when I’m married and it’ll be a big plus for me, I’mm be able to be more focused on my job too.”

Do you think the couple will have a baby boy soon after having their “little princess?”
