"Every Witch Way" premiered Jan. 1 on Nickelodeon and if you watched, you may already have some questions about star Paola Andino. Who is she? Where is she from? How did she get into acting? It seems Andino could be the next Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato - all three are from Texas and all got their start on children's television shows - so let's see what the deal is with Andino!

Andino gave an exclusive interview to Just Jared Jr. and here are some highlights that touch on her budding acting career and her role as Emma Alonso on "Every Witch Way."

Andino, now 15, says she started acting when she was 10 years old.

"Ever since I was little I loved performing. I used to dance competitively and I was a part of an honor choir, so when my 4th grade teacher recommended I take acting classes I jumped right on it. As soon I started, it became my main passion and I knew that it's what I wanted to pursue 110% as my career."

On "Every Witch Way," Andino plays a teenage girl who moves to Miami and discovers she's a witch. She also develops a crush on classmate, Daniel (Nick Merico), and ends up in awkward situations with Daniel's ex-girlfriend Maddie (Paris Smith) who is an evil witch and the most popular girl in school.

Andino describes Emma as "A very genuine girl. She's sweet and honest, but she can be naive. She isn't very good at dealing with confrontation or defending herself. Emma is responsible and a loyal friend."

Andino goes on to say people should tune in to "Every Witch Way" because "it's something you can enjoy with your whole family! There are relatable characters and situations, with a magical twist. It's a really funny show with lots of surprises in store that you won't want to miss."

Sounds a lot like another popular show - Selena Gomez's "Wizards of Waverly Place!"

Head over to Just Jared Jr. for Paola Andino's full interview, including what she would choose as her super power and what it was like working with her co-star/best friend, Daniela Nieves, on set.
