The 2014 Grammy nominees have officially been announced and sadly R&B singer Ciara did not make the list this year.

Even though her sultry song "Body Party" reached the top of the charts on iTunes and even managed to break through the top 10 R&B singles list on the Billboard charts, the singer was still not able to snag a nomination.

While some of her fans were outraged by the snub, Ciara remained upbeat and positive about it.

Actually, she completely understood why she didn't make the cut this year and later took to her Instagram to explain why the popular single didn't get any acknowledgement from the Grammy Association, HipHopHollywood reported.  Recently engaged to rapper and producer Future, the singer expressed that she was still truly thankful for everything that's happening in her life.

"'Body Party' going number one this year was a blessing within itself, and for that I am thankful! Unfortunately, it couldn't be eligible because of the 'My Boo' sample in it. I discovered this before the songs allowed for nomination were set ... However, this year has been incredible considering the journey a few years prior, and it is JUST the beginning. So, I'za happy, happy girl and thankful to have a Grammy already!! Let's keep all this good stuff going!"

Unlike Ciara, emerging R&B soulful singer K. Michelle was not a happy camper when she found out her name wasn't on the list of Grammy nominees. The "Love & Hip Hop" star just knew that she would be considered after her hit single "V.S.O.P." burned up the charts upon its release, S2S Magazine reported.

Upset that her single did not get any Grammy recognition, the singer posted her response via Twitter.

"Wow major Grammy snub. I guess a little black girl who truly speaks her mind was a little 2much huh? Gotta work harder next year."

Both singers released really good music this year and it's unfortunate they weren't able to get any Grammy love. Hopefully the two will be able to put out something more Grammy-appropriate stuff and make the cut next year.
