Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone New Movie 2013? ‘Besharam’ and ‘Ram Leela’ Stars Turned Down for Next Bollywood Film?
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have shared great on-screen chemistries in “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and “Bachna Ae Haseeno.” The former real-life couple were allegedly supposed to work on Imtiaz Ali’s next film, however, they were turned down for the roles.
Padukone and Kapoor liked the script for Ali’s next film called “Highway,” however, they were turned down because the director didn’t want it to turn into a “starry affair.”
Movie Talkies reported that Ali, who had teamed up with Kapoor for the highly appreciated “Rockstar,” will be directing the upcoming film “Highway,” which stars Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt, however, Kapoor nor Padukone will be a part of the project.
The "Besharam" actor was excited to do the film and was impressed with the script that he requested Ali to let him be a part of the movie, even if it was a small role of a cameo, but Ali was determined to keep big celebrity names out because of the cost of the content.
Hopefully we will get to see Padukone and Kapoor reunite on-screen once again since they are interested in doing another film together as well. Since the two displayed great chemistry on-screen in May, many fans are wondering if there are any immediate plans for the two coming together in a new movie anytime soon.
“Well, I think we are really happy that people have liked our onscreen chemistry. We are definitely looking at doing something together soon. Woh toh hoga (that will happen),” said Padukone. “However, before we make a final call, both of we have to come on board individually in terms of liking the script that comes our way. I am sure there is something that would come in for us.”
Padukone has been basking in the success of her currently released movie, “Ram Leela” which co-stars Ranveer Singh and Kapoor is occupied with “Bombay Velvet.”
The former off-screen couple have been keeping quiet about their plans for their next film together.
See, between us everything doesn’t have to be spoken about. We get along each other really well,” said Padukone. “Moreover, you can’t force these things. The same way actors choose scripts, at times the scripts too chose those actors who are destined to play some parts. I am sure something as beautiful like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ will happen again for us.”© 2014 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
