Axl Rose, Slash Feud? Guns N’ Roses Reunion Possibility, ‘If It Happens One Day, It Happens’
There have been reports about a feud between Guns N’ Roses bandmates, Axl Rose and Slash, however, the lead guitarist recently talked about the band’s reunion, whether it will happen or not.
Blabber Mouth reported that Slash stopped by the “Larry King Now” studio last week for a taping with Larry King and was asked about a possible Guns N’ Roses reunion.
“That’s the $64,000 question,” said Slash. “But, it’s not something that any of us have reached out to each other and said that we wanted to do thus far. So, rather than be a pessimist and say, ‘No, it’ll never happen,’ it’s not like I’m harboring a lot of resentment. But it’s not something that we’re all thinking about doing. So if it happens one day, it happens. If it doesn’t, I don’t think anybody’s, you know, losing any sleep over it.”
Allegedly, Slash and frontman Axl Rose have had a 20-year feud after Rose felt “abused” by his bandmates because they “did more damage to my ability as a writer,” said Rose in an interview with USA Today.
“It beat me down so much. At the time of the [‘Use Your Illusions’] tours, Slash and Duff said, ‘You’re an idiot, you’re a loser.’ I didn’t write for years,” said Rose. “I felt I was hindered for a very long time. I was also trying to figure out what I wanted to say, when it’s right be venting and when you’re digging a bigger hole. Lyrics on ‘Chinese’ took a long time.”
In April 2012, Slash told Rolling Stone magazine that Axl Rose “hates my guts.” The two have not performed together since 1993 and Rose currently tours with a completely different version of Guns N’ Roses featuring no original member but him.
During an interview in 2009 with longtime best friend and former road manager Del James, Rose called Slash a “cancer.”© 2014 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
