Fans are excited about "The Avengers 2" movie as new details emerge about villain Ultron.

Marvel announced in September that James Spader was going to play the highly anticipated villain in the 2015 movie.

"Spader was my first and only choice, he's got that hypnotic voice that can be eerily calm and compelling," director Joss Whedon told Marvel. "But he's also very human and humorous. Ultron is not Hal, Spader can play all of the levels. He's the guy to break the Avengers into pieces."

Speaking of breaking the Avengers into pieces, Spader dished about the villainous robot that will try to defeat the Avengers in the movie.

"I have spoken to Joss Whedon about it," "The Blacklist" actor told The Inquirer. "Just this weekend I went in for them to take very extensive photographs, head scans, body scans, and all kinds of things in preparation for figuring out how the hell I'm gonna fit in this Ultron character!"

He told The Independent, "I'm not a planner.

"I like to try something different, to just see what happens... I think it'll be a lot of fun and it's incredibly nostalgic for me," he said. "When I was a kid my best friend had trunks of comics and I didn't have any so I used to love going for sleepovers at his house. Also I have three sons and two of them have a great interest in comics so they're excited I'm playing the role."

So what can we expect from Ultron?

"I knew right away what I wanted to do with him," Whedon told Entertainment Weekly in August. "He's always trying to destroy the Avengers, goddamn it, he's got a bee in his bonnet. He's not a happy guy, which means he's an interesting guy. He's got pain. And the way that manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff. So we'll take away some of those powers because at some point everybody becomes magic, and I already have someone [a new character, Scarlet Witch] who's a witch."
