It's back!

FX's critically-acclaimed miniseries "American Horror Story" has returned creepier and cooler than ever.

Produced by "Glee's" Ryan Murphy, the "American Horror: Coven" premiere was seen October 9 by 5.54 million viewers, up 44% from last year's "American Horror Story: Asylum."

The third installment of the anthology surrounds a group of witches in New Orleans, 300 years since the Salem trials. A special school opens up to teach protection to young witches including movie star Madison (Emma Roberts), Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) and new-to-her-powers Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) lead by Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) and her high-ranking, long-absent mother Fiona (Jessica Lange).

But these modern day witches aren't running around with black cloaks, pointy hats and broomsticks. The gifted young girls opt for collared shirt dresses, wide-brim hats, jersey floor skimming maxis and cat-eye shades. Fiona, the vain "Supreme" is powerful and polished, preferring pencil skirts, peplum tops and pointed-toe pumps. Of course, all in a witch's signature shade: black.
