Earlier this month, Kate Hudson launched her activewear line Fabletics with e-commerce site JustFab, Inc., and to promote the workout clothes, she’s been opening up about her own body fitness secrets. Here are some of her best quotes.

On Fabletics

“The fact that we are able to sell at [this] price [around $60 for an outfit] point with the materials we are using . . . is just amazing. It is hard to find [activewear] at this affordable price.” [Fashionista]

“I wanted to create a product as meaningful as the message. We wanted to make sure it was real athletic wear you can wear, whether you are an athlete or somebody who is really starting out that part of their life. I always wanted a legging you can wear to workout or throw some boots on and go out in. And, have it not cost $100 and have the same quality.” [Elle]

“Designing for every body type is really important, and I think we have great stuff for all kinds of bodies.” [Elle]

"You can get an entire outfit for under $50. So that was a big thing for me, which is I want women to be able to afford (workout gear) so that they're motivated to want to go do it." [USA Today]

On her passion for fitness

“[I’ve] always been passionate about fitness and seen its effects on the longevity and vitality” [Fashionista]

“We are obviously a family of storytellers and creative people who make movies, but underneath all that, we are all very athletic. My mom was a dancer, my dad was a baseball player, my brother was a hockey player, and I was a soccer player and a dancer—we grew up very active. We were constantly doing activities like that, and that’s where it started for me, hands down. Nothing has changed, that’s all I know.” [Elle]

On her own workout routine

“I actually have to get up and work out. I am like most women out there where I can’t motivate myself, it’s really hard. Then I have phases when I realize I am over the hump and I can do it. You realize it’s a state of mind more than anything. I think number one, the luxury of having a trainer has been a big help in terms of motivation. I have been lucky enough to have that.” [Elle]

"I'll go on a hike or I'll play football with the kids. The goal for me is to just get in a good sweat.” [E! Online]

On her eating habits

“I actually really believe in cleansing, but I don’t believe in long cleansing, over 10 days is just too much.” [Elle]

“I love food, I'm a bit of a foodie and I travel a lot. One of things I love about travel is finding the spots where I get to eat yummy food…so no, I don't follow any specific diet …. I watch what I'm doing. If there's a couple too many cocktails or pizzas or things like that, I'll just say 'Whoops!' I want to be healthy, but also not have to starve myself of the things I love…like wine!" [E! Online]

"I don't know if it's my DNA because I'm Italian, but I love any kind of pasta! You gotta do it every once in a while!" [E! Online]

On her habit of wearing workout clothes 24/7

“I live in this type of wear. All day, I pretty much have something that I work out in or plan to work out in.” [Fashionista]

“As a mom, how often am I on a red carpet and how often do I wake up and take my kids to school? It’s a no-brainer that I’ll probably be wearing [activewear] more than I will a Cavalli dress.” [Fashionista]
