Excitement around Eminem’s new album continues to grow while the “Berzerk” rapper turns from rapping to production.
Mstarz reports that a representative from Syndrome Studio, which releases Eminem’s music videos, has said that there’s no way the rapper’s new album, “MMLP2,” will leak earlier than its November 5 release date.
“I got a call from Paul Rosenberg, Em’s manager. He’s like, ‘Em’s ready for the visual. I want to play you this song and then just vibe on it.’ They [Eminem’s team] work so crazy. They don’t do anything digital. So I went to a Staples parking lot, and I had to sit shotgun in one of the A&R’s cars to listen to it. I wrote down a couple notes and left – it was like a drug deal or something,” said James Larese.
Meanwhile, MLive reports that Eminem is now turning to production, producing four tracks on Chicago rapper Ca$his’ new album, “The County Hound 2.” The songs are titled “Layin’ In The Cut,” “Thru the Glass,” “Ask About Me,” and “Cigarello” and the album will be released on October 15.
Eminem also produced Skylar Grey’s album “Don’t Look Down.” The music video for her single “Back from the Dead,” featuring Big Sean and Barker, was released todayl. [VIDEO BELOW]
Grey is the songwriter behind Eminem’s 2010 hit single with Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie.”
“Working with Em was one of the most amazing things in my entire life to ever happen and that will probably will ever happen,” Grey has said of her new album. “He has been so great at giving me feedback and I really trust his opinion.
“I’m still totally intimidated by him and his talent, but I’m a little bit more fearless when it comes to just starting up a conversation. I started asking him questions and advice and stuff.”
