Prince George is a very busy two-month-old. The newborn royal baby recently finished his first vacation in Scotland with his parents Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William as they visited Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Balmoral Castle, and his parents have already applied for a passport so he can join them on a world tour next year.

Hollywood Life reports that Kate and William, both 31, and baby George stayed at Balmoral Castle from September 15 to September 23, where they hiked through the woods, played golf, spent time in the garden and introduced the baby to Prince Philip for the first time.

An insider said that the vacation was “a wonderful change of scene” for William and Kate.

“More space and time with the family, which the love,” the source said.

New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and his children Max, 18, and Stephanie, 20, visited the royal family while William and Kate were in Scotland.

“It was a truly remarkable and extraordinary experience,” Key said. “They were extremely generous hosts and we had a fantastic weekend. We were invited in as guests in their private family time.”

The family even met baby George, with Max calling him a “very bonny baby.”

First, Scotland; next, the world? The Daily Mirror reports that Kate and William applied for a passport for Prince George and have gotten permission to take the baby on a tour of Australia and New Zealand next year.

William spoke about the tour last month, saying that George was “doing really well” and “We are all very hopeful of coming to Australia next year.”

The trip will mirror a visit by Prince Charles and Princess Diana, when they brought a nine-month-old Prince William along on a tour.

Then, the Queen had to give permission for Prince William to trael in the same plane as his father, as royal protocol dictates that the heir and the next-in-line should not fly together. The Queen is expected to give the same permission for the Australia trip.
