As for the second "Man of Steel" movie, screenwriter David S. Goyer has revealed his feelings about Superman, saying he believes the superhero is allowed to kill.

Goyer explained that the darker side of Superman may be controversial, but he disagrees with making the man of steel perfect, Digital Spy wrote.

"This is one area, and I've written comic books as well and this is where I disagree with some of my fellow comic book writers - 'Superman doesn't kill'. It's a rule that exists outside of the narrative and I just don't believe in rules like that. I believe when you're writing film or television, you can't rely on a crutch or rule that exists outside of the narrative of the film."

As for the controversial Batman role, Ben Affleck has addressed the backlash.

The actor appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and told the host that he can handle the casting's internet scrutiny from fans, The Huffington Post reported.

"They said, 'Just don't use the Internet for a couple of days,'" Affleck said. "And I said ... 'I handle shit!'" Not that Affleck wasn't curious to see what the response was when the news was made official. "I saw the announcement, I look down the thing. The first comment? ... 'Nooooooooooooo.'"

"Man of Steel 2" or "Batman vs. Superman" is already getting a lot of buzz as the cast and crew prep to shoot the anticipated follow up in Detroit, Michigan.

The anticipated movie been awarded $35 million by Michigan to film in the state, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The "Man of Steel" sequel hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
